The dependant in this case was a 37-year-old lady with physical and mental disabilities. The sponsor, her father, was a 78-year-old HKPR with little ability to support her living both physically and financially.

The Challenges:

According to HK’s Immigration rules, employment visa applicants must have proven professional abilities and solid work experience in the relevant field. The sponsoring company in this case was a wine trading company while the applicant had no experience in the wine trading field.

 

   Hong Kong Investment visa as Entrepreneurs application


The Challenges:

According to HK’s Immigration rules, investment visa applicants must have a good education background, normally a first degree in the relevant discipline. The applicant in this case had only completed junior high school.

 

   Hong Kong Right of abode application


The Challenges:

According to HK’s Immigration rules, people who have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than 7 years can apply for the right of abode. The applicant in this case had stayed in Hong Kong for a total of less than 100 days in the past 7 years.
