Hong Kong Right of Abode Application

The Challenges

According to HK’s Immigration rules, people who have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than 7 years can apply for the right of abode. The applicant in this case had stayed in Hong Kong for a total of less than 100 days in the past 7 years.

Our Strategy

We submitted a letter from the applicant’s employer stating that the applicant had been away from Hong Kong for long because he was assigned to station in China for business purpose.
